Following an injury riddled 2016, Christophe Nambotin returns to what he knows best for the 2017 EnduroGP World Championship — KTM’s 300 EXC two-stroke.

As a three-time world champion — twice in Enduro 3 — Nambotin is one of the most fluid and smoothest big-bore two stroke enduro riders in the business.

The last time he rode the KTM 300 EXC in 2013 he was practicably unbeatable as he cruised to a second world title.

Since then he jumped to four-stroke machinery, and while he collected an Enduro 1 crown in 2014, 2015 and ‘16 were far from kind to the Frenchman.

Rejuvenated and reunited with the bike he knows best, Nambo is confidently gunning for a fourth world crown and EnduroGP honours.

“I have a lot of motivation going into this year’s world championship,” confirms Nambotin. “2016 was a very difficult season for me with injuries, so I want to show again that I can fight for a world championship title.

“Returning to a 300cc two-stroke after three years on four strokes is a change I’m looking forward to. I really enjoying being back on a 300, so I hope for good things this season. Physically I also feel good. My knee is strong again so I am ready for the new season.”

We take a closer look at the bike he’ll be tackling the 2017 EnduroGP season on…
