Portuguese Hard Enduro: 2022 Extreme Paredes – deep in Lagares territory!
Round three of the 2022 Portuguese National Hard Enduro Trophy (Troféu Nacional Hard Enduro) saw just under 100 riders take on the tough Extreme Paredes course, deep into Extreme XL Lagares territory.
With the nerve centre at Alameda de São Pedro in Sobreira, the race saw a course of around 26 kilometres covered four times in good weather conditions experienced over the weekend.
The Extreme Paredes stands out in the Portuguese series because it runs through some of the famous sections of XL Lagares such as Couce, Melga or Eucalyptus.
2022 Extreme Paredes video highlights:
The race victory went to Spaniard Carlos Burés of the well-known ZonaPaddock KTM team on a day when the guy we’re usually hailing at the top of the results sheets in the TNHE, Diogo Vieira, was absent in Italy helping the national trials team.
Tiago Oliveira claimed second in front of Pablo Cabrero while the Experts saw an intense fight through the day between Bruno Freitas ahead of Emanuel Costa and Luis Gonçalves.
In the Open class Diego Rodrigues topped Álvaro Mouta and Jorge Aráujo, in the Juniors it was Marco Ferreira who won in front of João Miguel and in the always numerous Hobby squad finally saw Fernando Cerqueira beating Diego Fernandez and Rui Sousa. José Ferreira took victory in the Veterans, defeating José Silva and Bruno Costa.
The next TNHE race will be Penafiel Extreme on October 23.
