Spanish Enduro Championship: Garcia minutes faster in Infiesto mud
Video highlights and results from the third round of the 2024 Spanish Enduro Championship at a mudfest in Infiesto – Red Bull KTM rider blasts minutes clear of national rivals for the win.
The third round of the 2024 Spanish Enduro Championship in Infiesto, Asturias, dished-up challenging conditions and two days of enduro marked by toughness and a long list of time penalties for the riders.
It was yet another outstanding performance by Josep García who proved when things get tough, the best riders shine even more. The KTM rider excelled on the grassy timed tests, showing that whether dry or wet, he remains unrivalled in the national championship.
By the end of the three laps on day one, García had accumulated almost two minutes’ advantage over the second-placed rider and nearly three over the third, further consolidating his lead in both the overall classification (Scratch) and the E1 category.
Day 1 top performances:
- Josep García (KTM): First in Scratch and E1, with a significant lead over his competitors.
- Antoine Magain (Sherco): Second in Scratch and first in E3, being one of the only two riders, along with García, to complete the course in under an hour of total timed riding.
- Marc Sans (Beta Trueba): Third in Scratch and second in E3 in his debut with the new brand, showing that the change has suited him well.
Day 2
With more rain falling overnight, the second day in Infiesto was far from a walk in the park. Despite the organisers cancelling some sections of the course due to yesterday’s chaos, conditions remained challenging.
