The Ducati Desmo450 MX will be available in selected dealers starting in June 2025 with a RRP of £11,245 as Ducati also announce a 250 model is in development.

Ducati say they are now ready to bring the Desmo450 MX to dealers with a retail price of £11,245 in the UK (not yet known in other countries but we will update). This is ballpark with other manufacturers and comes in 500 or so under the RRP of the KTM 450 SX-F.

Ducati Cambridge, Ducati Leeds, Ducati Preston, Ducati North London, Chris Walker Motorcycles, GT Motorcycles and Millsport Motorcycles are all set to house the new 450 model once they’ve undergone a process of technical training focused on the new model.

Enduro21 caught five with Ducati on the Desert Rally X model test for a deeper dive into the Desmo and where it might go next (beyond motocross): Ducati saying no to enduro and rally?

On the back of a debut season in the Italian Prestige MX1 national championship, which saw them take their first victory with Alessandro Lupino, Ducati have officially entered the Motocross World Championship in 2025.

The new Ducati Factory MX Team has Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini onboard the Desmo 450 MX equipped with the desmodromic valve control system which seems to get them off the line fast if nothing else having bagged holeshot and top 10 finishes for both riders already at the Argentine MXGP last week.

Desmo250 MX in development

If, like us, the idea of a 450 MX bike seems a bit much, the Ducati Corse R&D is also well down the road in developing a new Desmo250 MX model that will take part in the Italian MX2 Championship.

Alessandro Lupino, the factory rider, will work alongside the MX legend Antonio Cairoli in order to create the future production version of the 250MX.

Ducati is also offering chances to test ride the bikes at the Ducati MX Experience together with Barry Johnson, one of the leading figures in the sector. Johnson, having organised schools for various brands over the last 20 years, is expected to open the doors to the new Ducati MX Experience from July until November at various locations around the UK (again, apologies, but we only have UK information at time of writing this but will endeavour to update this story to make it more global).
