Quick look: 10Ten 300R – Under 3K dirt bike
10Ten 300R dirt bike built “for useable performance across all types of trails, tracks, and open terrain” and at an unbelievable £2699 price tag.
10Ten’s “all-new” 300R four-stroke off-road model is many things but there’s no getting away from that price tag. A 300 for less than 3K is actually hard to get your head around if you’re as used to looking at the price of new enduro bikes like we are.
10Ten have a range of bikes, all at prices you’ll rub your eyes at, with the new 300R towering above most of them as a full-size dirt bike with more serious credentials.
The 300R uses a proven 279.6cc Zongshen water-cooled, four-stroke engine which they explain delivers “a smooth and controllable 25hp and 22Nm of torque for useable performance across all types of trails, tracks, and open terrain”.
The NIBBI PWK34 carburettor breathes the life into that motor while a stainless steel exhaust system provides sharp throttle response and smooth performance that is “easy on the ears”, they tell us.
It features a six-speed gearbox, electric start, has fully adjustable suspension front and rear and a 7.8 litre (2 US Gal) fuel tank.
Enduro21 cannot offer any take on the 300R itself, we’ve never ridden one and know nothing about its build quality or performance. But do a bit of simple maths on this versus a new European or Japanese-built dirt bike. If all you want is basic fun riding off-road then at the very least this is food for thought.
