2025 Sea to Sky Hard Enduro Results: Billy Bolt bosses beach day one in Turkey
Results from a busy day one at the 2025 Sea to Sky Hard Enduro World Championship – Billy Bolt bosses beach races for the win ahead of Mitch Brightmore and Mani Lettenbichler.
Day one at the Sea to Sky is beach day at this Turkish holiday resort with riders in the main classes first clocking qualification times before heat races and a final.
The course is well established by now and a tricky course, especially for the amateur riders. The usual rocks, logs and piles of tyres are made harder by the fact it is on sand in this prologue.
Mani Lettenbichler arrived in Turkey as the points leader and reigning trophy holder of S2S and promptly put in the fastest qualifying time on the Red Bull KTM ahead of X-Grip Racing‘s Mitch Brightmore and Billy Bolt who made a minor mistake on his run onboard the Husqvarna Factory Racing machine.
Heat races then split the entry up into groups of 12 and saw Wade Young, Bolt, Lettenichler and Teo Kabakchiev (back racing following his broken wrist in Romania) run out race winners.
24 riders qualified through to the second round of heat races – 12 riders split into two – which Bolt and Lettenbichler dutifully won.
The top six from each of those then went through to the grand final six lap race where Bolt again proved his dominance with a half minute win, despite the best offorts of Brightmore second and last year’s winner Lettenbichler third.
This was Bolt’s second weekend in a row hanging out at the beach following his impressive second place at the Weston Beach Race just four days ago.
Fourth and taking some scalps in the process was Belarussian rider Artsiom Kuntsevich finishing ahead of Sherco teammates Kabakchiev and Mario Roman.
James Moore again won the best South African contest against Wade Young, seventh and eighth, ahead of Graham Jarvis P9 and Radford Chugg completing the top 10 and the final rider on the same lap as the winner.
Note: Billy was sick during/after the race and was not well enough to stand on the podium so Francesca from his team enjoyed the champagne moment instead between Mani and Mitch.
