2025 Spanish Enduro Results: Magain Takes a Double in Galicia
The 2025 Spanish Enduro Championship kicked off in Pantón with Antoine Magain (Sherco) taking the victory ahead of an intense battle between Jaume Betriu (GASGAS) and Sergio Navarro (Husqvarna) and on a weekend without the reigning champion Josep Garcia, due to injury.
With a 55km route and wide, fast, and technical stages faithful to the demanding Galician terrain, the event offered a vibrant start to the season. The absence of the reigning champion, Red Bull KTM’s Josep Garcia who is recovering from a collarbone injury, left the fight wide open and allowed rivals to seize the opportunity to fight for the first win of the season.
Sherco Racing’s Antoine Magain did not waste the opportunity. The Belgian, Spanish championship runner-up in 2024, set the pace throughout the weekend, taking the victory by just over half a minute over Jaume Betriu (GASGAS) and Sergio Navarro (Husqvarna) on day one.
The battle for the podium was intense until the last meter on both days. After completing four laps and 12 special tests, Betriu and Navarro were separated by just three-tenths of a second in a thrilling finish in favour of the GASGAS rider. World Championship rider Albin Elowson (Husqvarna), who used this event as preparation for the EnduroGP, and Alejandro Navarro (GASGAS) rounded out the top five in the Scratch classification on the opening day.
Day 2 podium, spot the difference...

With another day of favourable weather conditions and three laps of the course, Sunday was a three-way duel between Magain, Betriu and Navarro.
The Sherco rider started strong again, opening a small gap over his rivals, although Navarro recovered in the final stretch, and the two fought for victory in the final stage, where a mistake by the Husqvarna rider ultimately gave Magain the win by just over five seconds.
A further five seconds adrift, Betriu finished third,10 seconds ahead of Albin Elowson and Marc Sans rounding out the top five.
Antoine Magain: “I am really happy to start the season this way! Saturday was a solid first day—consistent and strong throughout. Sunday was really tight from start to finish, but I managed to stay focused until the end despite a small crash. Of course, with Josep absent, the competition was fierce for the win.”
