DM31 Racing’s Daniel Milner claimed a double win in Edenhope, Victoria, rounds five and six of the 2024 Australian Off Road Championship (AORC).

Leaving the competition in the literal dust across a two-day weekend of sprint enduro tests, Daniel Milner clinched yet another double victory at AORC rounds five and six.

Over the third meeting of the season consecutive class wins were clinched by Kyron Bacon (Shop Yamaha Off Road Racing Team) in E1, Milner (KTM Australia, DM31 Racing Team) in E2, Jye Dickson (Beta Racing Australia) in E3 and Danielle McDonald (Yamaha JGR Ballard’s Off Road Team) in Enduro Women. Over in EJ though, Davey Gear and Jett Yarnold shared the Junior class the top step.

“We have come out here to a pretty dry track due to lack of rain, but the track has been awesome!” Said Milner. “I just tried to stay smooth and consistent and not make any mistakes, which we did, so I felt good and strong in my riding. I also feel like I’ve had a good amount of time on the bike since my injury.”

In typically dusty and dry conditions, except for a little rain on day two afternoon, Kyron Bacon headed E1 and claimed P2 overall just under 30 seconds adrift of Milner: “Conditions out there are pretty rough. There’s dust everywhere. You have to be aware all the time, with roots everywhere that can catch you out and the dust makes it hard to see what’s underneath.” Said Kyron.

Motul Pirello Sherco rider Jonte Reynders couldn’t match the speeds set by Milner in E2 and overall) but clocked in with matching times to Bacon over both days, narrowly finishing third scratch.
