All roads lead to Zschopau, Germany, this weekend for the final round of the 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship where the titles will be decided in classic enduro country as the championship returns to the legendary Saxony forests for the Polisport GP of Germany.

Steeped in 70 years of enduro history, Zschopau again hosts the world championship, with the paddock based at the old MZ Factory. Riders (entry list below) face a 64-kilometre course featuring the Polisport Extreme Test, GMOTO Enduro Test, ACERBIS Cross Test and Heinrich Schmid Cross Test.

Gloves off for the Super Test

Friday night’s AKRAPOVIC Super Test starts the weekend with TM MOTO Boano Factory’s Zach Pichon leading the individual standings for this show opener at each GP by just five points over KTM Factory’s Josep Garcia, with GASGAS Factory’s Andrea Verona seven back in third.

While both Garcia and Verona have taken Super Test wins this season, Pichon is still chasing his first but proving handsomely that consistency is key. He’ll need at least a top-two finish to secure the title if Garcia clocks the fastest time.

Garcia vs Verona: EnduroGP crown on the line

After a season largely dominated by oen rider, the EnduroGP title fight is remarkably still down to the wire between Garcia and Verona. The Spaniard’s 34-point lead vanished last time out in Italy when he went home injured and Verona took the win.

Garcia still holds a comfortable 15-point cushion, but with his fitness uncertain, the fight remains on. “I’ll be back to my best in Germany,” Garcia insists. Verona must win both days to reclaim the crown he won at this same venue in 2022.

Pichon sits third overall but injured his ankle in Italy and could struggle. Sherco’s Hamish Macdonald and teammate Antoine Magain round out the top five, with Macdonald aiming to end the season strong.

Macdonald closing on first senior world title

In Enduro3, New Zealander Hamish Macdonald leads by 18 points and can make history as his country’s first senior world champion. Magain is the only rider with a mathematical chance of catching him, while the battle for third between Leo Le Quere (TM Boano) and Julien Roussaly (Sherco) is separated by just four points.

Enduro1 wrapped up, but podium open

Garcia has already sealed the Enduro1 title, leaving the fight for the remaining podium places open. Honda RedMoto’s Samuele Bernardini holds second, with Triumph Italia’s Morgan Lesiardo only four points back after his breakthrough win in Italy. Sherco’s Jeremy Sydow, buoyed by his home GP, is another rider to watch.

Enduro2 title to the wire

The Enduro2 duel between Pichon and Verona goes right to the finish. Only two points separate them, with Pichon nursing that ankle injury and Verona pushing for back-to-back titles. Behind them, the scrap for third is an all-Swedish affair – Max Ahlin (KTM Pro Racing Sport) leads Albin Norrbin (Fantic) by just one point and their battle could impact the final outcome overall.

Cristino and Semb in Junior title fight

Fantic’s Kevin Cristino has dominated the second half of the Junior season, taking six straight wins to move 15 points ahead of teammate Axel Semb. Between them they’ve won all but two race days this year. Cristino, the 2023 Youth World Champion, now aims to add a Junior crown to his record. Ox Moto Beta’s Leo Joyon sits a solid third.

Dagna closing in on Youth World title

In Youth Enduro, France’s Romain Dagna (KTM Pro Racing Sport) leads by 14 points over Fantic’s Pietro Scardina, with TM Boano’s Alberto Elgari 19 back in third. It’s been a wild season with each title contender suffering setbacks, including disqualifications, meaning the Youth crown will likely be decided on the final day.

Gutish aiming for historic Women’s crown

In the Expotrade FIM Women’s Enduro Championship, RIEJU’s Rachel Gutish is on the verge of making history as the first American Enduro World Champion. She holds an 11-point advantage over teammate Rosie Rowett, with Honda’s Francesca Nocera 15 points behind Gutish in third. All three remain in contention heading into the Zschopau finale.

Junior Women’s Cup still open

In the Expotrade FIM Junior Women’s Enduro World Cup, Electraction TM’s Elizabeth Tett leads France’s Lorna Lafont (Sherco) by six points after splitting victories across the last two rounds. If Tett wins Saturday, the title is hers – but if Lafont strikes first, it’ll be a winner-takes-all showdown on Sunday.

The 2025 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship concludes this weekend, October 17–19, in Zschopau, Germany.
