Andrea Verona tops the entry list for round two of the 2024 FIME European Enduro Championship in San Marino this weekend.

Aside from some headline acts from the EnduroGP World Championship, eager to get some riding in on similar soil ahead of the Italian GP next weekend, the entry list for the second appointment in the 2024 European Enduro Championship is as long as it is strong.

Reliably solid, the San Marino federation and Titano motoclub will see over more 150 riders competing this weekend, June 15 and 16.

As with the first round of the season, those include riders from Spain to Finland, from Italy to Great Britain as well as many Italians heading to the small Republic of San Marino.

A small pearl with around 34,000 inhabitants and an area of 62 km2, located in the heart of Romagna (Italy), San Marino has always been associated with racing and motorcycles. In fact, a few kilometers from San Marino is Tavullia, Valentino Rossi’s birthplace, and the Misano circuit, which hosts superbike and MotoGP races every year.

A scheduled 8.30 start on both days, will send riders to the Cross Test on a hill followed by a 45-minute transfer that will lead the riders to the T.C. with assistance.

In the second part of the loop there will be the Enduro Test, traced in the undergrowth, and the 24mx Extreme Test, “truly spectacular” they say, taking in rocky streams.

The riders will complete four laps on Saturday and three on Sunday with check inspections already taking place today, Friday.

The 2022 World Enduro Champion Andrea Verona did not want to miss this second appointment of the Euro season in view of the Italian round of the Enduro World Championship on 21-22-23 June. Davide Soreca will join Verona alongside some of the series contenders including Daniel Mundell who could take advantage of Honda rider Samuele Bernadini’s absence, both currently in third place overall with 24 points.

All classes are represented well in this series which promotes talent across senior, junior and women’s categories.
