Rieju Factory Team has signed Alfredo Gomez to race the Hard Enduro World Championship and SuperEnduro World Championship in 2023.

Former runner-up in the Hard Enduro World Championship and winner of major events such as the Erzbergrodeo Alfredo Gomez has struck a new deal with the Spanish manufacturer and race team for 2023.

The news had been rumoured but it‘s now official as Gomez loads up his van to hit the ground running on the Rieju this coming weekend at the first SuperEnduro round in Poland.

Gomez will stick with a 300 two-stroke model which he has stuck with across all disciplines of racing over his near decade career in extreme and hard enduro. The big change for the Spaniard however will be the switch back to a bike with a carburettor after so many years on the fuel injected/TPI Husqvarnas and recently GASGAS.

Rieju say Alfredo will use the MR300 (Pro) model as part of the Rieju Factory Team in the Hard Enduro World Championship and in some SuperEnduro World Championship races.

That means the AG Racing Team, which Alfredo created last year after being dropped from the official Husqvarna team, will continue without their talisman.

The news comes on the back of recent annoucnement that Sandra Gomez, Alfredo‘s younger sister, has signed with Rieju to race the 2023 Dakar Rally.
