Galfer joins FIM Quality Product programme
Galfer join the FIM Quality Product (FQP) label programme, the internationally recognised seal of approval for products and services both on and off the track.
The FQP label is only awarded following an involved and in-depth assessment process, and the Spanish company Galfer’s wide range of top-quality brake discs and brake pads has been comprehensively appraised and approved by the FIM International Technical Commission (CTI) before becoming an FQP braking components partner.
Established in 1952 when it first began manufacturing friction materials and components for braking systems, this year competitors using Galfer products have claimed ten FIM World Championship titles, three European titles, and eleven National titles in the expert hands of riders including, but not limited to, FIM gold medal winners Ai Ogura – FIM Moto2™, Álvaro Carpe – FIM JuniorGP™, Toni Bou – FIM X-Trial and TrialGP and Brad Freeman – FIM E3 Enduro.
Of equal significance, Alessandro Lupino made history in 2024 by winning Ducati’s first MX1 Italian Motocross Championship title using Galfer products.
Guillermo Font, Galfer Global Marketing Director, said: "We are extremely proud to have joined the prestigious FIM Quality Product program for 2025-2027. This milestone attests to our commitment to excellence and solidifies Galfer’s position as a global leader in braking technology. With the FIM Quality Product mark now alongside Galfer’s name, the company is preparing to write new success stories in the world of competition and technological innovation. I believe the FIM Quality Product program helps to further solidify Galfer’s global reputation, confirming that every component, from discs to brake pads, is designed to deliver flawless performance in any condition."
Fabio Muner, FIM Marketing and Digital Director, said: "The FIM is delighted to welcome Galfer as part of the FIM Quality Product programme. Its products are proven both on and off-road in the highly-specialised and technologically-advanced field of braking. I am confident that this partnership will boost Galfer’s already enviable reputation and provide many marketing advantages."
