Billy Bolt wins 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in his hometown of Newcastle, round six of the series to equal a record total number of victories

A record run in the 2026 SuperEnduro season sealed the deal for a record-equalling sixth world title for Billy Bolt tonight in Newcastle, England.

The 28-year-old Husqvarna Factory Racing rider has taken the world title in the first moto inside the Arena situated a stone’s throw fro the banks of the river Tyne in his home city and in front and a hugely appreciative home crowd.

Wrapping up the 2026 indoor crown after a near-perfect season, Bolt equals the world title tally achieved by Taddy Blazusiak to make them joint equal most susccesful SuperEnduro riders of all time.

Ahead of the penultimate round of the 2026 SuperEnduro season this weekend, Bolt spoke about how he had looked up to Blazusiak as inspiration when he as younger and that to be equalling the Polish rider was an unbelievable achievement.

The 2026 title comes in a season which Bolt has totally dominated fromt eh start having dropped just one moto win from 15 in total (he was second in moto two at round one). Add to that all six Superpole fastest times for an all-but perfect season and a huge points tally arriving at his home race.

Victory came in the second moto where Jonny Walker took his second moto win of the season in a fantastic race with Billy who showed he as not giving up, despite the knowledge second palce was enough for the title.

It looks likely the season winning run will stop here though as Bolt looks likely to head to South Africa and miss the final round of the season next weekend in France. Billy can afford to let the other boys have turn at winning so he can be with his wife, Roxy, who is expecting their first child any day.

Good luck and best wishes to all three of them.
