Quick look: GASGAS’s new MOTO e-bike
GASGAS have announced a new addition their e-bike range, the MOTO “play bike” designed to add some cool to your urban riding, paddock cruising or maybe shredding the local pump track (we’re saying).
Enduro21 doesn’t step into bicycle territory too often but we figured you might be interested in this one. GASGAS’s range of e-MTB and “urban mobility” bikes has expanded one more with this funky cruiser, a pedal plus electric motor assisted e-bike.
Inspired by the California beach cruiser-styled bikes, this is GASGAS’s own take, adding an off-road styling dose close to the enduro/MX motorcycles. The simple design sports a red, steel frame, a long bench-style seat, fat 20” wheels and GASGAS off-road motorcycle range inspired plastics and graphics.
The pedal-assist rear hub motor has “up to 672Wh battery” with a US version featuring a throttle grip and with a maximum motor output of 750W. No word on the battery life at present but obvs if you are cruising down Sunset Boulevard it will suck less juice than if you are shredding your local pump track (just a suggestion for usage...).
GASGAS are lifting the covers off the new MOTO at Europe’s largest bicycle show, Eurobike in Frankfurt, Germany where Troy Lee himself will do a live paint session with the GASGAS MOTO creating a unique, one-of-a-kind cruiser. They’ll also have some demo bikes to test ride their too.
GASGAS MOTO technical highlights:
- One-size-fits-all urban cruiser designed to fit 160 - 190cm riders
- Extra-long and comfy seat
- Sturdy, robust steel frame
- Strong hub motor
- 20” fat tyres
- Display with Bluetooth connection allowing smartphone connectivity
Prices and indeed a place to go and view more details/where to buy is strangely lacking in the PR on this one.
