AXP Racing, known for its robust and lightweight HDPE plastic skid plates, unveils its new Xtrem sump guard with linkage protector for the 2025 Kawasaki KX250 and KX250X models.

Made from 8mm thick, High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) plastic, the AXP Xtrem skid plate is a part Enduro21 has been using on our own bikes for enduro and hard enduro for years. In this product we trust.

Specially designed for the new Kawasaki models, the new addition to the Xtrem catalogue (it’s easier to name a bike they don’t make a sump guard for than it is to list them all) offers the trademark full coverage from the frame to beyond the footpegs.

By design it also protects the engine cases, the water pump on the front and side and the linkage thanks to a double thickness at the rear for a better resistance to impact.

Design update

An update to the new model of Xtrem skid plate is an improved fixation system with added brackets at the rear keeps the bash plate in place to avoid any backward movements and screw damage.

The USP of HDPE plastic is a claimed 30 to 40% lighter than an alloy equivalent part, it doesn’t generate vibration and takes its original shape back after impact. Plastic also makes gliding over obstacles easier, an obvious advantage for enduro and hard enduro.
