First look: Muc-Off Mobile Pressure Washer – ride & wash..at the track
First look at the Muc-Off Mobile Pressure Washer, built for cleaning bikes at the track or on the trail side – “how come we haven’t got one of these already?”
A rechargeable electric jet washer with integrated water tank, wheels, a pull handle, a dry bag to keep it in and basically everything you need to clean your bike at the track or out on the trail. Why haven’t these been around for years? If this isn’t one of those, “how come I haven’t got one of these already?” pieces of kit then we don’t know what is.
They say:
Clean up your act at home or on the move with the Muc-Off Mobile Pressure Washer, the ultimate weapon for keeping filthy motorbikes looking sharp and running smooth no matter where your adventure takes you.
Powered by a 40v lithium-Ion battery and 500w motor, and packing a 20L water tank, this all-in-one dirt-destroyer has been dialled in to cut through grime quickly and easily, whilst protecting those delicate bearings, surfaces, and suspension parts.
We say:
“Snow foam everywhere” is just about right as we first attached the easy to connect hose to the main washer tub, the trigger to the hose and the extension with the bike washer liquid to that and clicked on.
As quickly as our jet washer at home, the bike was covered trackside in the bike wash and we were already swapping out the extension for the lance to wash it all off. The kit is complete with just about everything inside the waterproof bag except the brush and a bung for your end can.
Muc-Off claim a run time of up to 24 minutes but in reality we have never run the battery down – we’ve only used it a handful of times so far but it has been enough to completely wash the bike clean before loading up in the van plus a couple of quick rinses of the radiators.
20 litres on tap
The integrated 20 litre water tank is enough, we think, but in case not you can always take extra as we have with the optional 20 litre water tank for a top up.
The battery type is a simple type, common on many appliances like hand drills or garden tools, and is 40V/2500mAh. The plug in wall charger is included.
The kit comes equipped with the gun and 5.5 metres (18ft) hose, the Snow Foamer, and four lances with different applications for MTB, moto or an adjustable one depending on how much pressure you want.
There are different bundle options in the Muc-Off online shop (other retail outlets stock it also) with prices from £250/$399 up to £425/$500 for the biggest bundle which includes the extra 20L water tank, bike wash cleaner X2 and a spare battery.
We have the Mega bundle FYI and we’ll certainly be using it to test over a longer period. So far, all good and super-useful at the track.
