Dunlop updates its enduro tyre range with the all-new Geomax EN92 with a new generation medium compound alongside a ‘Geomax EN92 SOFT’ option.

It doesn’t feel like it was long ago we heralded the EN91 enduro tyre, member of the Dunlop Geomax range but a tyre successfully campaigned by many riders and teams in the ISDE.

Using the occasion of the 99th Six Days in Italy this year, Dunlop launched the EN92 successor to the highly regarded Geomax EN91 with two front and three rear options to suit a range of enduro rider skill levels and conditions.

Real world development

Dunlop say their experience at the highest level of racing at events like the ISDE is the “inspiration” for much of the development in its enduro range which benefits from what you could call real world testing. Something currently being proven in Italy by Team USA (among others).

The Geomax EN92 is designed to deliver excellent grip, compliance and traction on dry, grassy, flat and dirt surfaces, with the Geomax EN92 SOFT further extending off-road capability by offering increased performance on wet, root-laden, uneven and rocky terrain.

New tread design and rounded sidewall

Dunlop say the new EN92 is focused on increased performance across a broader range of conditions, building on the proven level of EN91. Both the medium Geomax EN92 and the softer EN92 SOFT specifications feature a more rounded sidewall profile, which they tell us improves compliance and rider comfort over rough terrain and uneven ground.

New tread block layout on the front tyre has a staggered pattern, as seen in the Geomax EN91, but has what they call a “reduced land ratio” in the centre and middle zones to improve grip on hard or rocky surfaces.

More predictable

The rear tread pattern uses Dunlop’s V-Block Technology (V-BT) for traction and slide/spin control and has Reinforced Scoop Technology (RST) to improve ability to dig into soft ground.

Progressive Cornering Block Technology (PCBT) helps to increase penetration into dirt and improves grip when cornering with both front and rear tyres thanks to more cavities in the central blocks which help shock absorption over rocks and other obstacles, improved grip at lean angles, improve dry and wet grip and traction for a more predictable rider feedback.

The Dunlop Geomax EN92 line-up will be available from early 2026. Dunlop recommends pairing Geomax EN92 with its latest European-produced Geomax Mousses, which will also become available in a phased rollout throughout late 2025 and early 2026.
