Leatt launches brand new component “Flexmesh Technology” into seven new products in their off-road moto protection range.

Leatt already offer a wide variety of off-road protective gear, they’re best known for it you might say. They’re also known for their innovation and the new Flexmesh is the latest protection technology to feature on the body armour range.

Joining the 3DF and Reaflex products already on the market, Leatt say Flexmesh will feature in seven new moto products: four chest protectors and three body protectors.

What is Flexmesh?

Flexmesh is a high-density, single polymer cell structure that offers CE level 1 protection. What sets Flexmesh technology apart is the enhanced breathability and airflow, Leatt say, and when combined with hard shell deflexion (exterior), is perfect for hard terrain and rocky surfaces.

As well as protection and the ergonomic design, Flexmesh technology is lightweight with a slimline build keeping material weight to a minimum. By design it is also highly breathable which allows weight to be evenly spread across body touch points.

Two compounds

The new technology will be available in two different compounds, Flexmesh and Flexmesh Pro, each coming with its own specifications.

Flexmesh option one is a high-density, single polymer cell structure that offers CE level 1 protection. Ventilation and flexibility make for an immediately comfortable fit, they add, with a single polymer design combining with the Flexmesh rib construction direct onto the outer protector.

Offering CE level 2 protection, Flexmesh Pro is a step up. It is constructed with a dual density polymer structure for impact absorption at low or high speeds. Moreover, Flexmesh Pro products have an ergonomically designed hard outer shell to protect against roost and sharp objects.

Looking at the construction of the Flexmesh Pro, the red polymer comprises the impact-absorbing layer, while the thinner black layer absorbs low-speed impacts and adds a comfort layer against the body. The perforated design makes it highly flexible and ventilated, and as a result, extremely comfortable.
