A new race series has been launched in the UK, the ACU British Cross Country Championship (BXCC) with a six-round season running nationally including the BXCC-E, electric bike championship.

Running from February until October 2024, the new BXCC or British Cross Country Championship has some big plans for fans of the three-hour, XC race format.

It’s an ACU British Championship with AM and PM races and classes for all riders from Youth boys and girls (8+) with different wheel sizes, through all the categories you’d hope for right up to a Premier class.

One highlight in there is a new electric bike category for the growing number of Starks, Sur-Rons, Osets, EMs and more who currently have very limited places to compete. Again, this is fully supported by the ACU as a British Championship.

The plan is to run a six-round series from February to August 2024. Riders need to register to be eligible for the championship which is organised by the Edge Off Road team who tell Enduro21 they are currently scouting venues around the country to make sure it is a nationwide series.

Their plans include making prize money available for riders which would be a rare treat indeed in the UK!
