2025 FIM EnduroGP World Championship round six day two results from Darfo Boario Terme where Andrea Verona takes confidence-boosting victory amid surprising top five at Italian GP which produced seven different test winners and sees Josep Garcia crowned 2025 E1 World Champion.

EnduroGP of Italy Day 2 in a nutshell

Though still wet under the wheels and slippery as heck in the trees, the sun was shining making a stunning early autumn day in Darfo Boario Terme, day two of the Italian GP. With the river level lower, the rocky riverbed Extreme test was back in the mix too, making 14 tests in total, almost as planned.

It was a notable day of world enduro championship racing: Josep Garcia claimed the 2025 E1 world title despite a nasty elbow wound from a day one crash, Andrea Verona took a much-needed win and a handful of riders revelled in the tricky conditions to clock their best-ever senior GP results.

Seven different test winners made the timing sheets remarkable, including three young riders striving for “ride of the day” honours from their manufacturers: Morgan Lesiardo best Triumph, Max Ahlin best KTM, and Jeremy Sydow best Sherco (of five French factory riders inside the top 10). These three scrapping for the top-three saw career-best results for all each in senior GP categories.

Verona capitalises

At the sharp end, Andrea Verona turned things around after a disappointing day one. The GASGAS rider dominated with a big winning margin of over 42 seconds, his third overall victory of the season as rivals floundered with injuries and mistakes.

The win swings Verona back on top of the E2 standings and into second overall in EnduroGP: “I’m really happy about today. Conditions were a bit better and I managed to ride without the mistakes. It was a good result to gain points in the E2 class and the overall, so we have one more round to go and I will train hard to arrive there as fast as possible.”

Second place for Morgan Lesiardo is Triumph’s best-ever EnduroGP result, and it was an emotional one for him and his team. The Italian backed up his strong ISDE performance with P2 scratch was also P1 in E1 for a career high: “I’m tired but really happy with today. My first podium in EnduroGP and first win in Enduro1. For my home GP, this result means something extra too. It was a hard weekend with the rain and then sun. This is also the first victory for Triumph in the world championship. It’s hard to describe the feeling, there’s a lot of emotion.”

Jeremy Sydow, back a long spell injured, grabbed his maiden overall podium with P3 and second in E1: “I can’t quite believe it but I made it happen. There were many battles all day and it came down to the last test. I made it happen there and took the overall best time to take third overall and second in class, I’m really happy.” Sydow now looks to his home GP in two weeks.

Max Ahlin was a close fourth (1:49s back), with Antoine Magain topping E3 like he did on day one in fifth overall.

Garcia – six-time world champ

Riding with a stitched-up elbow wound from yesterday’s crash (plus a bruised hip), Josep Garcia just needed to finish to seal the 2025 E1 world title. With Mikael Persson sidelined by injury today, Garcia rode through the pain and wrapped up his sixth career world crown despite finishing 15th overall — his worst result of the year.

“The win yesterday was important, even though I had a crash at the end. It damaged my elbow and hip. Today I started giving 100% but after a crash and hurting the same places, the pain was worse all day. It was one of the hardest days of racing in my life but also a mixture of emotions because we get the E1 title and it’s amazing to get one more. Now we’ll heal the body and look forward to Zschopau.”

Title rival Zach Pichon also had a rough day. After starting strong, he badly hurt his ankle, making the TM pegs torture. He still salvaged P7 overall and third in E2, but couldn’t even stand on the podium.

Stuck in third gear, Cristino wins Juniors

Axel Semb hit back at Junior rival Kevin Cristino, pushing the fight to the final test before losing out by just 2.72s. Manuele Verzeroli was a distant third.

Cristino meanwhile completed much of the day with his Fantic stuck in third gear. The torquey 300 two-stroke Minarelli carried him home for the win and he now looks odds-on for the title.

Dagna delivers

Confused by his disqualification yesterday (missing an FIM sticker on his front wheel), Romain Dagna made it count today with another Youth 125 win. He dominated by 40 seconds ahead of Pietro Scardina in second and Alberto Elgari in third.

Open class

Roland Liska again set the scratch fastest time in Open, ahead of Brazilian Patrik Capila and Italian Mateo Grigis. Capila caps off a great season across in Europe in this World Cup catepgory with the open 4T series title.
