First look: Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team
First look at the 2026 Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team set to race in the 2026 Paulo Duarte FIM EnduroGP World Championship.
With the news breaking just yesterday that electric motorcycles will be permitted to race in EnduroGP, Enduro21 knew the official reveal from Stark Racing about their plans for 2026 wouldn’t be far behind.
Followers of the OxMoto Racing team might not be surprised to learn the French team, who have been racing the Varg EX in their domestic enduro championship in 2025, will step up to EnduroGP this year with two riders, David Herbreteau and Marc Sans.
The Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team will be led by Cyril Raynaud (former vice-world enduro champion), with Sebastien Tortelli overseeing the programme as Racing Director for Stark Future – “not a full factory team but it's kind of a full factory team” Tortelli described it to Enduro21 here in our interview: 5 minutes with…Stark Racing Director Sebastien Tortelli Talks SuperEnduro, EnduroGP, Hard Enduro & GNCC

Two-rider Stark OxMoto line-up
The rider line-up will feature Frenchman David Herbreteau in E2 and Spaniard, Marc Sans in E3 in this inaugural season for electric bikes. Herbreteau is new to EnduroGP while Sans brings a wealth of experience, particularly on bigger capacity bikes in the world championship.
EnduroGP presents a new challenge for the Varg EX and Stark say the programme “is not about symbolic participation” but “about proving that the VARG belongs in the most demanding environments in motorcycle racing”.
Sébastien Tortelli, Stark Racing Director
“Entering EnduroGP is a natural next step for Stark. The Stark VARG has already shown it can compete head-to-head with the best combustion motorcycles in top-level off-road racing. EnduroGP now gives us the chance to take that challenge into one of the toughest championships in the world. With Cyril leading both David and Marc, we believe this team has the experience and talent to be competitive from the beginning.”
Cyril Raynaud, Team Manager, Stark OxMoto EnduroGP Team:
“We have absolute faith in this project. Establishing an EnduroGP team from scratch, centred on the Stark VARG and backed by Stark and our partners, presents a unique chance to redefine world enduro. We approach this endeavour with unwavering professionalism, ambition, and total dedication. Our goal is to compete fiercely, drive development, and maximize the potential of this platform.”

More about the riders
Marc Sans Soria, born November 14, 1996, in Valls, Tarragona, Spain, is a professional Enduro rider already competing in both Spanish national and EnduroGP.
Sans Soria boasts an impressive record in the FIM EnduroGP World Championship, including five podium finishes, an E3 victory, and a fourth place overall ranking in the EnduroGP E3 category. He has also been a key member of Team Spain, achieving three podium finishes at the International Six Days Of Enduro (ISDE): once in the Junior Trophy and twice in the World Trophy category.
Domestically in Spain, he was crowned Spanish Enduro Junior Champion and has secured multiple runner-up positions in the Enduro 3 category, along with several individual overall podiums in the Spanish Championship.
Marc Sans #2:“My expectations for the 2026 EnduroGP season with the Stark Oxmoto team are to learn and progress as the championship goes on. The first rounds will be important to gather as much data as possible about the bike and our setup. Once we have a better understanding of where we are, my goal is to keep improving at every race. If we can fight close to the top five and maybe take a podium towards the final part of the season, it would be a fantastic result for our first time racing the Varg EX in EnduroGP.”

French rider David Herbreteau, born on December 30th, 1997, in Les Sables d´Olonnes, has extensive experience in motocross and knowledge of racing the Varg. He has raced in the MX2 World Championship and European motocross.
David Herbreteau #103:“Motorcycling has been part of my life since I was very young. I’ve been riding for 24 years now, and this passion naturally led me into competition. I have been riding the Stark for three years, and this season officially marks my second year of racing with the bike.
“This year will also be my first season in the EnduroGP World Championship, which represents an important step in my career. The main goal will be to gain as much experience as possible at each round and to keep improving my performance throughout the season. Competing in EnduroGP and representing Stark Future at this level is an incredible opportunity, and I’m very proud to be part of this adventure.”
