2026 ISDE – 100th Edition details officially announced for Portugal, October 12-17
The 2026 International Six Days Enduro, the 100th edition of the historic international off-road event the ISDE, will take place next October 12-17 in Grandola and the Alentejo region of Portugal.
That the 100th edition of the ISDE will be in Portugal should come as no surprise to any of us. The country from which the FIM President heralds has become a “go to” location in recent years for our sport.
Returning for the first time since 2019, the 2026 Six Days will be based on the Alentejo area, with the paddock in Grandola, around one hour south of Lisbon.
EnduroGP World Championship fans, riders and teams will be familiar with the area with the town Santiago do Cacem around 20 minutes down the road and we expect some of the terrain to be familiar to us.
The 2026 EnduroGP calendar has not yet been finalised, but early October comes as a surprise to us as the world championship usually extends beyond that date. That’s not to mention other major national championships which might affect team selection and rider availability including the North American series.
Experienced club at the helm
The FIM and the Motorcycle Federation of Portugal will work with the experienced Motor Sports de Santo Andre to organise the event next year. They have organised world and European championship rounds at this location in recent years.
The race will run from Monday to Saturday (unlike this year where we start tomorrow, Sunday August 24 through to Friday, August 27).
Daily route plans
The proposed daily routes should deliver less road riding and more off-road transfers than we’re about to see in Italy with a tradition in Portugal for making events tough enough on the riders.
Days eon and two have a proposed 150km route with three tests and heading west and north of Grandola.
Days two and three will be twice the distance at 300km and head south to Santiago do Cacem and the coast at Siles.
Day five again has three separate tests and 300km on the cards as the riders drop down through Santiago again and onwards to Odemira.
The final day’s Cross test will be back to Sines for the awarding of the trophies on the historic 100th occasion.
