Stat attack: Josep Garcia’s ISDE Results in Numbers
Enduro21 takes a look at the statistics behind Josep Garcia’s remarkable International Six Days of Enduro record against the hall of famers at the ISDE – a record fifth straight overall victory stands above a set of test wins and overall day wins which show there is no match for the Red Bull KTM rider.
Enduro21 readers love a good stat or two. We take the opportunity when we can to include some facts and figures in our race reports at times simply because they have usually made us pause and take note.
Often that pause and note taking is for a rider doing something outstanding and at the 2025 ISDE in Italy we threw one in about how many day wins Josep Garcia had ticked off since his first win.
A ticking off quite rightly quickly came back via a reader by the name of Nate Ferderer. Nate’s correction was welcome but highlighted the remarkable stats he had put together about the EnduroGP World Champion and now five-times outright ISDE winner.
World Trophy team prize eludes the Spaniard
Despite the team trophy prize still not landing in Garcia’s hands, his record in the Six Days is astonishing in the face of the best from the rest of the world. His wins go across continents and countries and the 250 four-stoke (he’s either ridden a 250 F or 350 F at each Six Days), continue to prove a formidable race bike in his hands.
Though some of the tests at the ISDE can be viewed as favouring more horsepower, and some riders naturally opt for larger capacity machines, Garcia is the perfect example of how the rider makes the difference, not the bike. *
* Josep’s current factory KTM 250 EXC-F is like no other 250F we have heard, watched or witnessed between the tapes. It is a rocket.
