Hard Enduro World Champion Mani Lettenbichler signs a new contract extension to remain with Red Bull KTM on multi-year deal.

Riders and teams can spring surprises at times but surely today’s news that Mani Lettenbichler has extended his contract with Red Bull KTM was pulled out the “things you’d bet your house on” folder?

The German has put pen to paper once again to remain the sole rider in the hard enduro factory team “for many years to come”, as KTM slightly oddly put it in today’s press release.

“I think the team is doing a great job, so I definitely want to stick with them and stay in orange.” Says Lettenbichler. “My journey with KTM has already been amazing, especially the past two hard enduro seasons. To win in 2022 after injury and missing a round was incredible, but to do the clean sweep this year is unbelievable – I couldn’t have done it without the whole team behind me.

“Overall, I’m really happy to stay with KTM for the years to come, I have a strong family behind me in the crew so I hope we can keep on doing exactly what we’re doing right now!”

Lettenbichler holds the record as the youngest rider ever to win the Red Bull ErzbergRodeo, at 24 years old in 2022. He repeated the victory at the Iron Giant again this year, and went on to claim a fourth Red Bull Romaniacs title on the way to the ’23 HEWC crown.

Mani’s first job on hand is the 2024 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship which begins this weekend in France and runs through to March before switching back to the two-stroke and the Hard Enduro World Championship.

Fabio Farioli – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager adds: “I am very happy to continue working with Mani now and into the future. Mani is one of the best riders, so we are happy to have him, and we love working with him. It’s a pleasure both from the racing side and the working side.
