Video highlights and results from round three of the 2025 Grand National Cross Country series, the inaugural Talladega GNCC where Steward Baylor pounds out the mudder miles to beat Grant Davis and Craig Delong for the overall.

The results of the inaugural Talladega GNCC were not clear from the start to the finish flags. Heavy rains turned the new venue into a slick racetrack—the kind of mud that gets on your grips and seat, making it hard to hold on.

Slick mud on hard pack, with new ruts forming in the virgin GNCC track and revealing roots, made it a war out there.

Most of the main Pro-class riders will have their own tales to tell, as the leaderboard changed by the mile. Johnny Girroir, Kailub Russell and Steward Baylor were among the XC1 riders who went down straight off the start.

It was yet another mudder day where the second row made rapid progress on lighter bikes. With riders to tag onto, they quickly got into the mix for the overall.

Grant Davis made the most of that, working his way through the field before eventually passing for the race lead and taking the overall on corrected time.

Davis held up to a two-minute lead at one point, but Steward Baylor was in typical form in the second half of the race. The Rocky Mountain Red Bear Racing rider put on a mighty charge, closing down Davis’ lead, passing him physically, and, with the Landers KTM rider’s 250 cutting out a couple of times, the big Baylor 450 sailed to his first win of the ’25 season.

It was a good day for Team Green with Rachel Archer taking the overall AM race result and a comfortable win in the WXC class. Korie Steed came in second in class, third overall with Tayla Jones third and P6 OA.
