Italian Extreme Enduro: Mario Roman’s winning ride onboard

A quality line-up of Hard Enduro World Championship riders headed this first Italian domestic Extreme race in the Riviera hills near San Remo for the opening round of the 2021.
The morning prologue races saw Jordi Gardiol spring a surprise taking the fastest time ahead of Travis Teasedale, Michael Walkner, Mario Roman and Sonny Goggia completing the top five.
The main two-hour afternoon race saw Mario Roman in impressive form in what proved to be very slippery conditions in the gulleys and riverbeds. Mario took his Sherco to a full lap clear advantage – clocking 12 in total.
One lap down, but in turn one lap ahead of a GASGAS race within the race, was Travis Teasedale who topped Michael Walkner and Kevin Gallas coming home fourth overall.
