500 riders and only winner in his first race back on the two-stroke since July, Billy Bolt takes the win at the Valleys Extreme in Wales ahead of Mitch Brightmore and Jack Price.

The 2023 Valleys Xtreme Enduro in South Wales saw its biggest ever entry and a bumper crowd drawn to Sunday’s main race partly by the big guy Billy Bolt.

Bolt took time out of the SuperEnduro season for the second time this month to wow the crowds in typically British January weather on a giant former open cast mine.

The weekend’s racing included qualifying runs on a course reminiscent of the Erzberg prologue and for different classes spread across AM and PM on Sunday with a claimed 500-plus riders across the two days.

The Billy show on both Saturday and Sunday did not disappoint with Bolt eventually running out comfortable winner of the qualifying and the main race.

Come the main event on Sunday afternoon Bolt was in relaxed mode, leading from the start the Husqvarna Racing rider was never troubled across the two-plus hours racing to arrive at the finish line almost 15 minutes clear of his nearest rival.

Mitch Brightmore proved the SuperEnduro World Championship is good training ground for a Welsh enduro too with second place after a decent fight for the podium posts with Jack Price. The pair were less than 30 seconds apart at the finish after slogging out the final ‘no help zones’ which brutally concluded race, leaving many riders timed out.

Jack Spencer, Richard Moorhouse, Paul Bolton and Burts Crayston completed the top seven and were the only riders to officially reach the finish line.
