Cody Webb has crashed out of today’s Iron Road Prolog at the 2018 Erzbergrodeo, breaking a finger and bones in his foot. It means Cody will not make tomorrow’s Hare Scramble main event.

The SuperEnduro World Champion and two-time Erzberg podium finisher, crashed out along the first section of today’s prologue, just seconds into his run.

The second of the two qualification runs is always rougher after 1500 riders have had their turn. The course gets littered with rocks and bolders, which easily can catch riders out and that is what happened to Webb.

Naturally disappointed this evening, Cody explained: “It gets really rough with so many riders running the prologue and it just caught me out. I did everything I could to try and save it with my long legs but unfortunately I couldn’t hang on to it and can’t race tomorrow.”

Cody will now step across to help with the live commentary on the main event tomorrow, Sunday June 3rd. Check out Red Bull TV tomorrow from 14:00 CEST.
