Changes to format for 2019

For the 2019 Machete Hard Enduro the event moves base city to Puerto Plata and will also switch to two race day format – prologue on day one with the main race in the jungle on the Sunday.

Puerto Plata is an important city with a lot of history in the north of the Dominican Republic. As event base it has all the services riders, assistants and fans need to enjoy even more the race.

Organiser Gian Carlo Valdez says the plan is to attract a greater number of riders and spectators in 2019: “Machete is the light that aims to illuminate this sport on the island so more and more locals can start in a sport that puts you directly in touch with nature, and Dominican Republic is perfect for it [Hard Enduro].”

The event will be based in the Blue JackTar Hotel & Golf resort this year on the Golden Beach of Puerto Plata. If you want an awesome holiday with your Extreme Enduro experience then this sure looks like a sweet venue.
