The Hard Enduro Series Germany – HESG – is going big in 2020 with two new venues, Maxxis as a series’ sponsor and over 200 riders already signed for the championship.
In its third year running the Hard Enduro Series Germany – HESG – it’s undergoing a substantial growth with over 200 riders from 13 different nations having already signed up for the 2020 season.
“We have now received almost 230 registrations since 01.01.2020. This is a significant increase over last season, which we didn't expect ourselves,” say series organisers.
“We are also pleased that we have more than doubled the number of nations taking part in it, we already have riders from 13 different countries.”
The first ever German Hard Enduro Series champion, Kevin Gallas, will make a return to the series alongside South African Blake Gutzeit and 2018 European SuperEnduro champion Tim Apolle.
Two new races added for 2020
The initial four round schedule has increased to six and will now include the “sand monster” sprint enduro in Reetz and travel down south for a round in the Bavarian Forest – full schedule at the bottom of the post.
The Sprint enduro will feature a morning prologue as usual but to establish the starting grid for a sprint enduro. There’ll be an extreme test in the sand pit but to avoid traffic jams, a time control per lap will be built in, as in a classic enduro. So the fastest riders will ride together and will not run into slower riders.
Maxxis new series’ sponsor
Taiwanese tyre brand, Maxxis will be a title partner for the 2020 HESG providing tyre services at the paddock of every round.
The HESG crew seemed quite pumped with the new series’ sponsor: “We are happy to have Maxxis tyres as a title partner with immediate effect and look positively into the future of the series, Maxxis is a renowned tyre brand that fits the series philosophy perfectly.”
