First look 2026 Beta RR Race Enduro Models – 250 two-stroke engine updates
Beta Motor announce updates to the RR Race range of two and four-stroke enduro models for 2026 including complete redesign of the 250 2T engine, new maps in the 4T models plus gearbox updates to the popular 125 and 200 2Ts.
Beta has gone early announcing the new RR Race 2026 enduro range, we were expecting them later in the Autumn. Certainly, any manufacturer landing big news in the middle of ISDE week is a pain in the backside from our point of view!
But we’ll run with it because the Beta range is increasingly among the most common bikes we see in race paddocks and the 2026 RR Race models eagerly anticipated.
They say the early roll out of the best performing bikes in their enduro range “reflects its constant commitment to innovation and attention to detail”.
We say they have been pushing at pace in recent years to meet growing demand for their wide model range which characteristically works hard to fit rider needs with two and four-stroke engine sizes. The range is slightly off the beaten path in terms of model engien capacities but that is what helps make them appealing.
What are the RR Race models? Basically, race versions of Beta’s enduro range with modifications, particularly KYB suspension, engine, chassis and standard equipment more tailored to competition use including pre-mix fuel (no seperate oil tanks).
Enduro21 recent tested the 2026 X-Pro range in Italy, the lower price point and more usable off-road models. Learn more about those here: 2026 Beta X-Pro Enduro model line-up test video
2026 RR Race 250 + 300 two-stroke updates
In line with the recent updates introduced on the XPRO My26 range the engine of the 2026 RR Race 250 2T has been completely redesigned in search for a greater torque and a broader power delivery.
250 RR specific changes:
Crankshaft and cylinder are now shared with the 300 model. The stroke was reduced compared to the past (from 72 mm to 69.9 mm), and the bore increased (from 66 mm to 67.4 mm) to maintain 250 cubic centimetres. The cylinder’s transfer port geometry was redesigned and now houses a new dedicated piston.
New cylinder head combustion chamber has been entirely redesigned to create the ideal operating conditions with the new engine design, while using the double spark plug.

The double spark plug (both on 250 2Str and 300 2T models) brings numerous benefits including improved distribution of ignition points in the combustion chamber, with a consequent reduction in fuel wastage. This translates into greater carburation stability at all engine speeds, and more precise control of engine loading under all grip conditions.
The engine’s range of use is also improved with greater torque and more power available.
The two spark plugs are managed with a separated electrical system meaning, if one spark plug burns out, the engine will still run allowing you to get home or to the end of a test.
More power and better handling
The updates mean more torque and linear power without affecting the overall performance with the added effect of improving handling due to more centralised weight and lowered centre of gravity.
One further update to the engine is the crankcase houses larger and stronger main bearings.
Stronger second gear
Updates for 2026 which are common to the 250 and 300 two-stroke RR Race models also include a “significantly” longer second gear – a real bonus for most riders in real world enduro conditions.
Beta say this improves the rideability, increasing the smoothness from second to third gears. The result is a clear improvement in race use when you’re picking the perfect gear to face any situation.

RR Race 125 two-stroke updates
A super-popular model and proven at the highest level of enduro racing, the babay two-stroke gets a gearbox update for 2026 to aid performance and quick and accurate gear changes. The new gear system has reinforced gears and with improved calibration (connection) between them to help the small 125cc engine give its best, at any speed (this change applies also to the 200 two-stroke).
RR Race 200 two-stroke updates
The exciting RR Race 200 2T gets a gearbox update on both the primary and secondary transmissions. Beta say the changes are in the internal rotation ratio between the two parts, to improve load distribution and the system’s overall mechanical strength.
From a functional point of view, the riding experience on the RR 200 is unchanged: its power, access to drive through the gears and revs and the throttle response are identical to the previous model.
They add that even though this update doesn’t affect the riding experience, it means improved reliability, in conditions of heavy and prolonged use.

RR Race 4T model updates
The 2026 four-stroke engines all have new engine maps compared to the previous model year which Beta say improves power delivery along the entire rev-range. Across all the displacements, Beta engineers have improved their linear power and usability of the motor, to better manage the power at different engine speed, even on technical terrain where you are on and off the throttle.
Racing Components – Fitment across the model range
The tried and tested suspension package and the special components of Beta's race-ready version are confirmed:
ø 48 mm Kayaba AOS close cartridge fork: anodised internal parts and the treatments administered to the materials minimise sliding friction, while adjustable compression and rebound damping let each rider find the perfect customisation of the setting.
Kayaba C46 RCU Monoshock: the KYB Monoshock can be considered a benchmark in the racing context for its capacity to absorb the roughness of the terrain, the level of traction transferred to the vehicle, and the consistency of performance, even in particularly heavy use. Its hydraulic setting can be fully customised by adjusting the external compression (both high and low speed) and rebound settings.
Quick release front axle: immediately recognisable by the red anodised alloy release lever, this component is crucial for saving precious seconds in a race when you need to change a tyre.
Reinforced handguards: the handguards feature a two-component material mould, and not only give the bike a racing look but also make them especially hard-wearing in even the roughest off-road use.
Ergal alloy footpegs: to ensure maximum control at all times and no loss of contact with the bike, the RR Race models are fitted with Ergal racing footpegs with steel pins which are interchangeable; these are narrower than in the past to facilitate movement of feet, but better in terms of grip.
Rear sprocket with anodised aluminium core and steel toothing by ZF SPROCKETS: top-class performance, lightness and strength - the perfect mix of all the attributes any racing component must have.
Dedicated race seat: with non-slip upholstery and document holder pocket for grip, comfort and practicality.

On all two-stroke models, Beta has stuck with its choice of doing away with an automatic fuel/oil mixer to minimise the weight but it is available in the Factory Parts catalogue.
