Beta has announced updates to their entry-level RR 125 LC Enduro and Motard models with improved handling from a new chassis and more power from the updated fuel-injected engine.

Beta’s 2021 RR 125 LC four-stroke could pass of as a pure race machine, such is the family resemblance with the bikes raced in the EnduroGP World Championship by Brad Freeman and Steve Holcombe.

The latest RR 125 LC is quite obviously not aiming for world championship competition but the two models, ENDURO designed for off-road use and the MOTARD for the street (and Supermoto), do look the part at least. They aim lower down the ladder of course with the Enduro model a great beginner’s bike and also a useful trail tool particularly if your licence is restricted.

The updates for 2021 are extensive with a focus on a revamped Minarelli engine which they claim has improved power delivery over the entire rev-range and meets the Euro 5 emissions standards.

2021 Beta RR 125 LC technical highlights:

  • New electronic injection for maximum reactivity of response in any condition
  • New camshaft with variable valve timing for better power and torque
  • New shaped airbox for better performance through improved airflow and accessibility to the filter
  • Beta red frame with revised geometry for improved handling and driving agility
  • New plastics inspired by racing enduro models
  • Revised cooling system to improve airflow
  • Redesigned front cowl/mask with full LED optical unit for better visibility combined with the racing style of the new mask
  • Full LED rear light
  • Plastic/metal composite rear subframe lighter and more rigid
  • New more stable side stand with improved spring
  • CBS combined brake system
  • CDI and electronic components with revised housing (protected inside the radiator area)
  • 41mm upside-down fork
  • Aluminium swingarm
  • New Aluminium exhaust
  • Microfused pegs
  • Unified single key system (for ignition, steering lock and fuel cap)
