Pierer Mobility has achieved a “global milestone” with the millionth motorcycle rolling off the production line at Bajaj's Chakan production plant in Pune. The 1,000,000th bike, a KTM 390 Adventure, left the Bajaj Auto Limited plant where Stefan Pierer, CEO of PIERER Mobility AG, and Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director & CEO of Bajaj Auto Limited, followed the historic moment.

The production line at the Chakan plant is where KTM (125 cm³ to 390 cm³) and Husqvarna (125 cm³ to 401 cm³) motorcycles have been co-developed and produced for global sales since 2011.

“When we sealed our partnership in 2007, we set ourselves the goal of developing innovations as a strategic partner in order to make the KTM brands known worldwide. One million has been reached. There will be many more to come,” Bajaj emphasizes.

Stefan Pierer, CEO of PIERER Mobility AG: “This is an important event for PIERER Mobility and Bajaj Auto. Our success is based on four pillars: globalization, constant innovation, motivated employees and established brands. As Europe's leading manufacturer of motorized two-wheelers, we have Bajaj found the right partner with the same passion to deliver such successful services together, which gives us confidence for the future.”
