First look: New Leatt ADV 9.5 Carbon and 8.5 Composite Helmets
Leatt launches its new ADV 9.5 Carbon and ADV 8.5 Composite helmets, designed to “revolutionize Adventure” with strong emphasis on technology and safety with photochromic visor (or goggles) for trail and off-road use.
Leatt, the South African protection and clothing brand, once again raises the bar in safety and comfort for riders with the launch of its first Adventure helmets.
Available in two versions: ADV 9.5 Carbon and ADV 8.5 Composite, these new models promise to “revolutionize the market” as other products from the same firm did in their day, offering a perfect combination of design, technology and functionality, both for Adventure and for more off-road use.
One of the main innovations that stands out in the Leatt ADV helmets is their photochromic visor that automatically adjusts the level of darkness according to the light conditions, always guaranteeing optimal visibility according to Leatt.
Do you wear enduro goggles? No problem, as this design, in addition to coming with a set of Velocity 4.5 goggles, allows them to be used without having to remove the visor, offering versatility that will delight those who combine dirt tracks with more enduro sections that demand greater ventilation.
Aerodynamics has been another of the key points in the design of these helmets, according to the brand itself and, thanks to wind tunnel tests, Leatt assures that it has achieved a 38% reduction in lift and 8% in wind resistance. This not only improves the driving experience, but also reduces fatigue on long excursions or routes.
Both models comply with ECE 22.06 and DOT regulations and feature 360° Turbine technology, which minimizes the risk of brain injury by reducing rotational force in the event of an impact.
They also feature a compact shell with four foam densities, designed to maximize protection.
Modular configuration and premium accessories
One of the most attractive features of these helmets is their modular design. It allows riders to customize their configuration with a top visor, screen and goggles, depending on the needs of the terrain or the weather.
Accessories included in the kit:
- Photochromic visor and an additional clear visor.
- Pinlock® 120 XLT MaxVision™ system that prevents fogging.
- Velocity 4.5 goggles, ideal for off-road use.
- Visor mechanism guard, spare parts and a carrying bag.
The 9.5 Carbon model adds a Fidlock™ magnetic buckle and a premium case, ideal for riders who travel frequently.
The new Leatt ADV 9.5 and 8.5 helmets are available in sizes XS to XXL, with custom fit options thanks to interchangeable cheek pads.
