Enduro21 gets to grips with the R&Duro EZ clutch system designed to take the fatigue away from standard clutch levers and give your left arm an easier time while riding enduro.

One of the most common upgrades on enduro bikes, especially in hard enduro, is to lighten the clutch. Be that lighter springs or a change to smaller bore size clutch master cylinder, the aim is to give those left forearm muscles an easier time when you’re riding.

R&Duro have a different solution to this age-old problem in the EZ or Easy clutch – a spring and linkage system which bolts onto existing master cylinders.

R&Duro EZ Clutch features:

  • Fits directly to standard clutch master cylinder
  • Compatible with Brembo and Braktec systems/most the European manufacturer’s bikes
  • No need for bleeding hydraulic system
  • Step-by-step fitting guide
  • Comes with a foldable lever with a similar to original geometry
  • Compatible with or without handguards
  • Click adjuster dial for lever span integrated

They say:

“The ultimate solution for arm pump and fatigue” is system mounted to the clutch master cylinder and uses a spring and linkage to provide external force to assist the rider. This allows you to reduce the pulling force of the clutch handle without any compromises, making it easier to maintain your technique and enjoy a more comfortable ride.

Plus, the system completely disengages once you release the handle and is easily adjustable with a single screw. Say goodbye to arm pump and fatigue and hello to a more enjoyable ride with R&Duro’s easy pull clutch system.

A good idea is a good idea, right? When R&Duro got in touch about this we had just taken on a 2025 GASGAS EC 300 GP so it was an easy “yes” from Enduro21 to fit it to one of our bikes.

A heap of experience riding 300 two-strokes in enduro and hard enduro (plus a job which sits us at a desk too much) means we know all about forearm fatigue...

First impressions are great with a quality look and finish to the parts and with clear instructions how to fit. It’s a bit of a process, requiring a handful of tools and a little bit of grease but it’s not complicated at all and we were pleased to quickly learn the EZ system did not need the master cylinder removing.

In fact you don’t need to take it off the handlebars, just loosen it and spin to begin the process. It took us about 30 minutes with some faffing. FYI we fitted it without handguards/deflectors for the purposes of being able to see it better in images but have fitted a set subsequently.

What you’re probably saying already is the size looks a bit big and bulky. We thought that too but honestly, so far in testing the fear that you might catch your knee on it for example, just hasn’t materialised. It also doesn’t add any perceivable weight.

The kit comes with foldable levers which both look better and are more accurate to your hand span (than OEM levers) with their integrated adjustment clicker – same too for the matching front brake lever we have fitted (available separately). R&Duro also sent us some spare, short stubby levers which have gone in the backpack in case of a crash. They also have a range of other products including anodised master cylinder covers.

Fitment is for Brembo and Braktec systems which covers most the European manufacturer’s bikes (KTM, some model years Husqvarna, GASGAS, Sherco). Ours is fitted to a GASGAS EC300 and therefore the Braktec set-up and we have this fitted to the bike right now and will report back with a “tested” story once we’ve put some hours on it.
