Acerbis announce a new “family” of chain guides for dirt bikes – enduro, hard enduro, motocross and rally – promising a “significant step forward in build quality”, more durability and better protection of chain and sprockets.

The Race range of chain guides from Acerbis represent what they are calling their most advanced evolution of the protective part, designed for those who want maximum reliability and performance and “marking a significant step forward in terms of build quality and reliability”.

The main innovation is in the production process, Acerbis tell us. Unlike traditional injection-molded models, Acerbis’ new Race chain guides are made from solid using a sheet of extruded polymer, which is cut and then processed using numerical control (CNC) machines.

“Increased flexural stiffness”

This new manufacturing process for Acerbis allows the use of a more resistant and rigid material than that used in injection molding. “Increased flexural stiffness” reduces the risk of bending of the guide under an impact and therefore better protects the chain from derailing and the sprocket itself.

High impact resistance also means more durability, even under conditions of maximum mechanical stress, Acerbis adds.

Removable slider

Another feature of the new Race chain guide is the removable and interchangeable slider, allowing assembly without having to remove the chain and replacement only of the component subject to the greatest wear, making maintenance operations faster and more practical.

Acerbis this is part of a whole family of new plastic accessories coming our way, a new project to strengthen the brand's positioning both towards the end consumer and, in particular, towards the market.

The new Acerbis Race Chain Guide product range is available for off-road models from the KTM, Honda, Kawasaki, Triumph and Yamaha ranges.
