Eleveit announces the X Legend EVO into its 2025 catalogue, a new off-road riding boot tested and developed in EnduroGP and MXGP.

Since the beginning of the 2024 season, Eleveit sponsored riders have been wearing the new X Legend EVO boots. Those riders include Ivo Monticelli and Ben Watson in the MXGP World Championship plus nine-time World Enduro Champion Steve Holcombe.

Jacopo Cerutti also won the Africa Eco Race and is wearing the boots on Rally- Raid, standing up for long days on the big bikes.

The new boots build on its predecessor, the X Legend which Enduro21 has been wearing for over one year and rate highly, but further improve protection and performance with the new X Legend EVO.

Eleveit say there are the significant improvements in the shin and toe area of the boot with plastic inserts at the front of the shin to improve protection against impact, while the toe has been reinforced with a plastic insert on the inside, increasing foot protection and improving overall comfort.

Light Weight & Comfort

Eleveit claim the X Legend EVO is the lightest four-lever boot on the market at 3700 grams, which is obviously an advantage for those who use it for long hours riding. It’s a feature Enduro21 has enjoyed along with comfort with the standard X Legend boots, helping reduce fatigue while riding.

Other features of the boots include flexible microfibre upper that helps freedom of movement and an inner liner designed for good foot ventilation.

The design of the lining “captures air inside the cavities of the three-dimensional filaments, forming a sort of cushion that envelops the leg and foot, thus offering superior cushioning.” In short it means a light, cool and comfortable fit.

Shock Lock System

The ‘Shock Lock System’ protects and controls the forward movement of the ankle no further than its natural limit, thanks to a PU plastic heel that extends upwards to anchor under the arch that joins the inside and outside of the boot.

As your leg flexes forward, the heel extends until the movement of the ankle is blocked which means natural movement is maintained but no more than that.

The same is true of lateral flex, a second safety system inside the X Legend EVO boot, a PU frame that guides the lateral movement of the ankle. The external system sits at the height of the malleolus, is further reinforced compared to previous Eleveit off road boot versions, and has a central joint that “can adjust the inclination of the limb” they explain.

The upper skeleton plate welds onto the lower one using a metal stud that moves inside a housing with two fixed stop points. The lateral movement of the joint is therefore mechanically controlled within the natural flexion arc (as they put it), preventing over-extension and, above all, damage.

Hook Fastening System

The new X Legend EVO has a more accurate and comfortable locking system, Eleveit say, with levers featuring an innovative steel crossbar.

When you do your boot up, adjustable clamps that end in a hook are inserted securely into the lever and hooked onto the crossbar for secure closure of the boot.

What that means is all those time when you catch a boot buckle and it opens somehow while riding, the strap remains anchored and can be done up again quickly, even while riding.

Both levers and clamps are replaceable and available from the catalogue.

New Bonded Sole

The sole of the new X Legend EVO has been improved and strengthened also, now constructed from newly developed two-compound material, and is also fully replaceable.
