Quick look: New Acerbis DNA 2.0 and Plasma 2.0 enduro, motocross and MTB body armour
Acerbis present the new DNA and Plasma 2.0, a body armour designed for motocross, enduro and MTB riders who want high-level protection without sacrificing lightness, comfort, and maximum ventilation.
Inspired by the previous DNA body armour from Acerbis, this new “evolution” was created to offer a more modern look and deliver less weight, all while maintaining CE level 2 protection for the chest and back.
The multi-layer construction combines soft, highly absorbent materials with a semi-rigid biofoam exterior that “guarantees greater resistance, maximum ventilation, durability, and an extremely stable fit”, Acerbis explain.
In essence, the chest and back protectors are thin and flexible, allowing for excellent freedom of movement and compatibility with neck braces and cervical stabilisers.

Adjustment is via elastic straps on the hips and waistband for a stable fit for different body shapes and the high level of ventilation makes the DNA 2.0 ideal for hot days or longer sessions.
Level 2 chest and back protectors mean maximum protection and allow participation in FIM events, making this chest protector a suitable choice for those seeking maximum protection for their body in competitive motocross, enduro, or MTB.
The Acerbis DNA 2.0 is available in a single black color in sizes S/M, L/XL and XXL at a price of €159.95.

Plasma 2.0, the full-coverage body armour
Alongside the DNA 2.0, Acerbis is also launching the new Plasma 2.0, which builds on the DNA model into a full chest protector designed to offer complete protection with high level of ventilation and comfort. This is thanks to a lightweight, perforated structure, with fabric covering only the areas where it is strictly necessary.

Some areas of the chest and arms remain free to increase ventilation and reduce sweating, a particularly important advantage during long days of enduro riding or intense short circuit races.
The chest, back, shoulder, and elbow protectors are all CE Level 2 certified to guarantee a very high level of safety, thanks to a multi-layer structure with highly absorbent viscoelastic materials, combined with a semi-rigid biofoam shell that they say offers resistance, stability, and durability.

The shoulder straps are padded for comfort and keep the protectors stable along with the double Velcro side adjustment.
An elastic waistband allows for a perfect fit on any body type, thanks also to the three sizes available: S/M, L/XL, and XXL.
The Acerbis Plasma 2.0 chest protector is also compatible with neck braces, cervical collars, and other protective systems and is available at a price of €199.95.
