SCOTT has released a new set of lock on grips, the SX II, making fitting easier and more secure on the bars plus they claim reduced handlebar vibration thanks to a “windowed core.”

SCOTT is best known for their off-road and enduro goggles, but the Swiss brand has a broad catalogue of products (check out the clothing and protection range) and they have just added these ‘SX II Lock On’ grips, their first model with this system.

Apart from being faster and easier to install than conventional grips, the SX IIs also claim to reduce the vibrations transmitted to the rider through the bars thanks to what they call a “windowed core”: “The window is positioned in line with riders’ hands when in the riding position. Even though you can’t feel the window when mounted on a handlebar, the soft material which fills out the window greatly reduces vibrations compared to a standard solid core”. We’ll have to test a pair to see if they work…

The grips include five different cams to fit most of the two and four stroke models (and handlebar sizes) on the market. Check the compatibility with your bike here.
