Taddy Blazusiak signs to race with IRC Tire
IRC Tire have announced they’ve signed Taddy Blazusiak on a multi-year deal to race SuperEnduro World Championship and AMA EnduroCross plus helping the Japanese-based manufacturer in off-road tyre development role.
Blazusiak needs no introduction round here but the six SuperEnduro, five EnduroCross, five Erzbergrodeos, and four X Games golds, means the Polish legend will help put the tyre brand on the global stage. IRC is perhaps well-known in North America as a high-profile event sponsor, but in Europe at least, the products are less familiar.
The deal will see Taddy compete on IRC tyres (you might say tire, we say tyres) for the remainder of the 2023 FIM SuperEnduro season, the 2023 AMA EnduroCross Championship, select Hard Enduro races.
“I’m excited to work with the team at IRC Tire,” said Taddy Blazusiak. “I can’t wait to show how good the products are, I’m also excited to work together with R&D team on some new tires so riders of all abilities globally can have even more fun riding dirt bikes.”
Freedom to use different products within the KTM Group factory race teams is notoriously difficult for some riders and in that light it comes as a little surprise Blazusiak has signed a persoanl deal to use such a major componant on his GASGAS Factory Racing machines.
At the end of the 2022 season it was announced Taddy would no longer represent the factory in the Hard Enduro World Championship but instead would focus on the indoor racing series in Europe and North America and selected major outdoor races.
Blazusiak will also bring a wealth of experience to the IRC Tire team in this multi-year deal which includes a product development role for the off-road range. “We are thrilled to have Taddy Blazusiak joining the IRC Tire family,” said Masaki Ikeda, of IRC America, Inc. “His talent and accomplishments on the racetrack are unparalleled and it’s such an honour to be entrusted by Taddy for his tire needs. IRC Tire products are available through Parts Unlimited, Parts Canada,Western Power Sports and Gamma Powersports dealers in the North American market, and Parts Europe in the European market starting in Spring 2023.
