Red Bull Tyne Ride confirmed for Newcastle Quayside on Saturday, August 30 with Billy Bolt again at the heart of the head-to-head race in his hometown – this time he’s racing.

Helping create a SuperEnduro-style spectacle in his home town last year proved a huge success for Billy Bolt. The only problem was injury meant the big man couldn’t take part.

The event in held on Newcastle Quayside is free again to the public and will feature a list of star riders from the world of Enduro and beyond including Billy Bolt plus reigning Red Bull Tyne Ride champion, Jonny Walker. 

“Last year it felt like the whole of Newcastle came out to Quayside to watch the riders take on the track. It was epic – I’m really excited to bring it back again.” Says Bolt.

Last year’s inaugural event drew thousands to Quayside to watch the racing which saw 16 riders battle it out in dual-lane heats to a final.

Jonny Walker said: “Last year’s event was one of the coolest I’ve ever done. Being right in the city brings an amazing atmosphere, to see people’s faces up close as you’re riding by them, the joy it brings – it’s awesome to see.”
