Five-time Enduro World Champion David Knight will line up for the 2025 Gotland Grand National onboard the Ducati Desmo 450, marking his debut at the world’s largest enduro race in Sweden.

Celebrating its 42nd edition, the 2025 Gotland Grand National next weekend (October 23–25) will see over 3,000 riders from 18 nations tackle the famous 25.2-kilometre course on Sweden’s Gotland island. The three-hour cross-country race on the island in the Baltic Sea is known for its unpredictable conditions, testing even the most seasoned pros.

“Securing David Knight’s participation is incredibly exciting,” says Conny Bohlin, CEO of Nordic Sport & Event. “Together with all the other top international riders joining GGN this year, it will be fascinating to see how they perform on the demanding course.”

Knight, who has won world, AMA, and British titles along with legendary events like Erzberg and Last Man Standing, says it’s a long-awaited opportunity. “Finally, I’m really happy to be coming to the Gotland Grand National after many years of wanting to, but not being able to due to date clashes. I’m excited to come with the new Ducati 450 Desmo MX and put it through its paces. The race looks tough, and Gotland in October can be unpredictable, so I’m excited and nervous — but I’ll do my best and enjoy it.”
