2025 Hard Enduro World Championship round three this weekend in Italy at Abestone Hard Enduro in the Tuscany Mountains – weekend programme and timetable.

The Hard Enduro World Championship picks back up after a summer break with riders already walking the course in the impressive natural arena at the Abetone Ski resort in Tuscany. The impressive venue welcomes the HEWC boys and girls for the first race since June and Silver Kings in the USA – although most have been busy with Erzberg, Romaniacs and TKO.

Rider entry list includes the podium guys from the previous Abestone race and at Romaniacs this year: Mani Lettenbichler, Billy Bolt, Mario Roman. It also includes Mitch Brightmore, Wade Young, the legend Graham Jarvis and Australian Will Riordan jumping over to Europe and opting not to race the Outliers US Hard Enduro round, also this weekend in Canada. abestone_hard_enduro_2025_img

It’s free for spectators

Unlike many events, the Abestone Hard Enduro is free to watch for spectators with ony a charge for the seating area around the Gold class finish, X-Loop area. The rest, including the ski lifts and the tough forest sections are all FOC to see.

The Abestone schedule kicks off on Friday September 5 with paddock opening and registrations. Saturday sees qualifying and Sprint Races across all three categories (bronze, silver and gold). Sunday is game time with the main event, and a two and a half hour hard enduro race.

Both Saturday and Sunday racing concludes in the X-Loop section. A tougher area which around 10 riders per day will face for five laps of a 500-metre track in the Abetone ski resort itself.

The riders within 15 min from the leader after the 1h Sprint on Saturday, and within 30 min from the leader after the 2h race on Sunday will face this section ahead of the flag finish. It’s a bit of drama and could see some position changes.
