Enduroc 2024 celebrated its 14th edition at the Les Comes, the end-of-season party for Spanish enduro saw its biggest star Josep Garcia take a fifth victory alongside MotoGP riders Pedro Acosta and Remy Gardiner.

Held in Les Comes, Enduroc brings together fans and over 700 riders to the motor parc just outside of Barcelona and within a stone’s throw of the reigning EnduroGP World Champion Josep Garcia’s hometown of Suria.

With two days full of action, the event comprises plenty of side shows for the fans alongside the main event with a Super Pole qualification race on Saturday ahead of Sunday’s cross-country.

MotoGP stars out to play

The Amigos category, the most popular at Enduroc, offered a vibrant race with Albert Muñoz taking the victory, followed by Toni Martínez and Sergi Muñoz. The race featured the participation of MotoGP figures such as Pedro Acosta (above) and Remy Gardner, as well as the brothers David and Carlos Checa.

Josep Garcia: the king of Enduroc

Taking his fifth victory at the event, Josep Garcia took victory in the SuperPole and in the main race on Sunday. After such a spectacular year, in which he won the EnduroGP and E1 World Championships, as well as triumphing in the ISDE and winning the national Enduro Scratch and E1 titles, Garcia’s home race was as much as a celebration as a races – but the KTM rider still went out for the win once his helmet was on.

On Saturday SuperPole, saw Garcia victorious with a time of 17m57s beating Pau Tomàs, Alejandro Navarro, Bernat Cortès and Dominik Olszowy completing the top five.

The rider with the most victories in the Enduroc

On Sunday, Garcia left no room for doubt and, after two laps of the approximately 70-kilometre route, he took his fifth victory in the Enduroc. Josep clocked a time of 1h40m43s in the Scratch category, which brought together the Senior and Junior categories.

Sergio Navarro finished second (+1m28s) and Bernat Cortès (+1m36s) completed the podium.

“Ending the year by winning at home is simply incredible.” Said Josep. “This race has always been special for me, and feeling the support of the public so close to where I grew up is something unique.” ​​

David Checa topped those boys with 16th, Remy Gardiner was 23rd, Carlos Checa 33rd and Pedro Acosta 68th (all in the Amigos class).

This event, which despite not being counted towards any competition, is one of the most popular on the enduro calendar, made it clear why it remains an essential event for the end of the season.
