Cycle City Promotions have announced a six-round 2021 EnduroCross Racing Series beginning in September and which is set to travel wider and get back in front of spectators again.

As was the case in so many race championships, the 2020 EnduroCross season had to seriously compromise due to Covid restrictions. The good news for fans and riders is that the new 2021 season will get back on track inside stadiums and in front of crowds once again.

“We're really excited to get back to racing indoors in front of crowds in 2021,” said Tod Hammock, president and founder of Cycle City Promotions. “We've added some great new markets to our schedule in addition to ones we've previously raced in, but missed out on in 2020.”

The AMA Championship 2021 schedule:

Round 1 September 18 BOK Center Tulsa, Oklahoma

Round 2 October 2 Amarillo National Center, Amarillo, Texas

Round 3 October 9 Reno Livestock Events Center, Nevada

Round 4 October 23 Findlay Toyota Center, Prescott Valley, Arizona

Rounds 5 + 6 October 29-30 National Western Complex Denver, Colorado (two-day series finale)

Live stream and TV planned

The 2021 AMA EnduroCross Racing Series will live stream via FloSports, a leading sports streaming and original content network, on its FloRacing Platform. There’s also a plan to broadcast on network television at a later date. EnduroCross promoters say further details will be announced regarding the live stream closer to the series start.

“The AMA is looking forward to another great season of racing and working with Tod Hammock and the entire EnduroCross Team,” says Erek Kudla, AMA Off-Road Racing Manager. “With the expansion of the series into the Midwest more fans across the country will have the opportunity to experience the gnarliest off-road racing the sport has to offer.”

Who’s in it to win it?

Rockstar Husqvarna’s Colton Haaker surely has a goal to aim at: earning his fifth AMA EnduroCross championship to tie at the top of the list with Taddy Blazusiak. Speaking of Blazusiak, he’s among the international riders who've already expressed interest in the EnduroCross series so don’t be surprised if some stars from Europe join the party closer to the season.

FactoryOne Sherco’s Cody Webb will be at the top of the pile of riders working hard to put a stop to Haaker’s championship run. Webb is a three-time champion and will surely want to equal his long-standing rival by taking his own fourth AMA EnduroCross crown.

There are no shortage of challengers to Haaker and Webb but a certain FMF KTM Factory Racing rider Trystan Hart will have other ideas. Having earned his first two EnduroCross wins in 2020 having literally just signed with the KTM team, the Canadian will be way more settled and a serious contender for the championship in 2021.

Cooper Abbott had a breakout season in 2020, earning a moto win and overall podium to help him earn fourth in the championship.

Don’t write off the likes of Cory Graffunder who may be an EnduroCross veteran but multiple podium finishes and fifth in 2020 show he clearly has the will and skills to aim higher.

Noah Kepple, Max Gerston, Will Riordan, Ryder LeBlond, Spencer Wilton are all in the mix.
