AMA EnduroCross Debuts New Points Structure for 2025 Season
“Closer racing, tighter championships” promised as Cycle City Promotions announce updated championship points system, matching other major race series, for the 2025 Slavens AMA EnduroCross Series presented by Progressive Insurance.
For years, EnduroCross awarded 30 points for a race win, 25 for second, 21 for third, and scaled down to 1 point for 20th. That structure placed a strong premium on race victories and rewarded riders who could dominate on the night.
Beginning this 2025 season, EnduroCross will debut a new point structure that mirrors the AMA SuperCross and indeed that of other major race series around the world. Aiming to keep more riders in the hunt and add drama to every round, the winner now earns 25 points, second place 22, third place 20, with points decreasing by one per position down through the final position.
“This change keeps the championship battles alive longer,” said Tod Hammock, President of Cycle City Promotions. “Fans will see more riders in contention deeper into the season. Wins still matter, but consistency will now play a bigger role in who comes out on top.”
The updated structure rewards consistent podium finishes and makes steady top-10 results more valuable, ensuring tighter standings, more championship contenders, and thrilling finales.
