Friday night Super Test results from Sweden and 2025 EnduroGP World Championship round three where GASGAS Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona put the 450 fastest in a slippery Skovde.
EnduroGP Rnd 3 Super Test in a nutshell:
- “It was like ice”. Coming from a Scandinavian, that’s saying something as the Friday night Super Test in Skovde, at round three of the 2025 EnduroGP season, proved to be what you might conservatively say was a tricky test to kickstart the weekend.
- Who would have thought the fastest rider out there on a damp and slippery track would be on a 450 four-stroke but Andrea Verona proved us wrong with nearly two seconds faster time than anyone.
- The Skövde Bandy Arena which housed much of the Super Test track had a roof, and the first part of the test on soft sand was fine, but the damp outside conditions for part of the track with logs and rocks carried inside and it was a case of hanging on or picking up. It was pretty cold too which didn’t help.
- Going last of all, head-to-head with Josep Garcia, Verona clocked in with a 1:31.79, comfortably quicker than Rieju’s Super Test specialist, Dominik Olszowy on 1:33.37 and TM’s title contender Zach Pichon third with 1:33.80.
- Garcia came home fourth half a second further back with the best of the Swedish homeboys, Mikael Persson, completing the top five for Triumph Racing.
- Mistakes were easy to make and there are a lot of riders looking at a lower position on the timesheets than they would have hoped.
- In the Junior class Matej Skuta went fastest, putting the Czech flag on the map in Sweden with championship contender Thibault Giraudon under a second behind and remarkably Czech compatriot Jaroslav Kalny third fastest.
- The Youth class had a more familiar look about it with Fantic’s Pietro Scardino clocking in fastest in the 125 category just 0.18s faster than Roman Dagna and Ramon Godino third.
- The Open category saw some SuperEnduro specilaists slip-sliding the fastest times with Tim Apolle first ahead of Roland Liska.
