Announcing the 2026 set-up ahead of the Alestrem Hard Enduro this coming weekend, April 17-19, Husqvarna Factory Racing confirm Bolt will contest the Hard Enduro World Championship, Red Bull Erzbergrodeo and Red Bull Romaniacs.

Bolt heads into the 2026 HEWC series in strong form following another dominant winter season that saw him secure his sixth consecutive FIM SuperEnduro World Championship title.
Switching disciplines and from the Husqvarna FE 350 four-stroke to the TE 300 two-stroke, Billy says he’s had a little more time to focus attention on Hard Enduro training this year after the SuperEnduro season finished. With good fitness levels, Bolt will no doubt want to amend the run of dominance Red Bull KTM’s Manuel Lettenbichler has asserted on Hard Enduro over the last four years.

It is that long ago that Billy claimed the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship crown (2021) and although he finished as runner-up in 2025, the aim will surely be to challenge for top spot this year and not “just” fight for second best.
Billy Bolt: “I’m really excited to heading into the Hard Enduro season. It’s been a few years since I’ve entered an outdoor season fully healthy and prepared, so it’s nice to be starting on the right foot. It’s been a busy off-season off the bike with becoming a father, but I’m very happy with how much time I’ve had on the bike and feeling good to go this weekend!”

Two-stroke time
The 2026 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship begins with round one at Alestrem in France this coming weekend and it will not be an easy one. Bolt faces tough opposition and proven race winners at the French race which can be notoriously long main race on Sunday. You can watch the final hour and a half live and for free here).
The tough opposition includes former winners Mario Roman now also on a Husqvarna and who’s bike is receiving a tune-up ahead of Alestrem from Graham Jarvis’ former right-hand man, Damo Butler.
Mani Lettenbihcler, Teo Kabakchiev and Wade Young will also enter the fight with proven records in the southern French race and that’s not to mention Mitch Brightmore who pushed Bolt hard for P2 in the series last season.
Bolt will also take on Red Bull Erzbergrodeo in Austria from June 4-7 and Red Bull Romaniacs in Romania from July 28 to August 1, almost unbelievably looking to claim his first victories in both events.
Fabio Farioli – Husqvarna Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager: “We’re really looking forward to getting the Hard Enduro season underway with Billy. He’s coming in with a lot of confidence after another strong SuperEnduro campaign, and we’ve already seen how focused he is on the outdoor side again. Last year was solid with some great results, but we all know he’s aiming for more this time. The team has been working well together, the feeling with the bike is good, and we’re excited to see what we can achieve this season.”
