Madison Healey will replace the injured Tayla Jones in Australia’s ISDE Women’s World Trophy Team for the 2025 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Italy, joining Jessica Gardiner and Danielle McDonald.

Tayla Jones, who has represented Australia in all but one Women’s World Trophy since 2013, suffered leg injuries in a recent GNCC round, forcing her to withdraw from the 2025 ISDE in Italy.

Jones’ disappointment opens the door for 21-year-old Madison Healey to make her debut in the FIM’s longest-running off-road event which will land in Bergamo for August 24-29.

Don’t you go thinking this is a second class substitute, however. Strong performances in the Yamaha Australian Enduro Championship over the last two seasons, runaway victories in the 2024 and 2025 Finke Desert Races and regular top-10 finishes in the Penrite ProMX Championship highlight Healey’s versatility and credibility in the Aussie girls team.

Healey’s most recent AusEnduro outing, in Casterton (Vic) on June 28-29, saw her finish runner-up behind her now ISDE teammate Jess Gardiner on both days.

The pair will be joined at the 2025 ISDE in Bergamo from August 24-29 by the American-based Danielle McDonald as the Australian Women’s World Trophy team looks to return to the winners’ list for the first time since 2018.

“I am overwhelmed and very excited with the opportunity to represent Motorcycling Australia in the 2025 ISDE,” said Madi, who hails from Kialla near Shepparton (Victoria). “It’s disappointing for Tayla, but I’ll be trying my hardest over the next six weeks to prepare for what will be a gruelling event.

“I’m really happy with how my enduro form has been progressing, and I’ve already been chatting to Jess (Gardiner) about the ISDE in terms of preparation and what I can expect when I get there.

“Having Jess and Danielle (MacDonald) helping me will be a huge asset, and I can’t wait to get to Italy and be a part of it all.

“My mum, dad and partner will also be joining me at the event, so there’s going to plenty of family support.”

Madi will compete in this week’s Penrite Hattah Desert Race, after which she’ll return to preparing for the ISDE.

“There’s still plenty to do, which includes working on my tyre changing skills! There’s still some fine-tuning required on that front, but I’m just so excited about what’s ahead.”

Motorcycling Australia will also be represented by World Trophy and Junior World Trophy teams at the 2025 ISDE, as well as three Australian club teams. More on them here:
