2026 US Sprint Enduro: Davis Turns up the dial at High Voltage
2026 US Sprint Enduro series reached round five already at the High Voltage Sprint Enduro in Maidsville, West Virginia where FMF KTM Factory Racing’s Grant Davis turned in an impressive performance in wet and slippery conditions.
A decisive 1-1 overall victory at the High Voltage Sprint Enduro in Maidsville, Virginia means FMF KTM’s Grant Davis has strengthened his hold on the series with only two rounds left on the calendar. It’s a fact brought to the fore with his closest rival for the Sprint title in ’26, Cody Barnes, sidelined after a hard crash in Kentucky last weekend, which is expected to keep the Liqui Moly Beta rider out for the remainder of the season.
Davis came out swinging on Saturday at the High Voltage, seizing the early overall lead by edging Pro 2 standout Toby Cleveland by three seconds in the opening cross test. Making his much‑anticipated appearance in the series, Liqui Moly Beta’s Josh Strang wasted no time reminding the field of his pedigree, landing third in the test—eight seconds off Cleveland’s pace.

Davis backed up his momentum with another test win in test two, but the battle intensified in test three when Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Craig DeLong entered the chat. DeLong lit up the cross test with the fastest time, 1.2 seconds quicker than Davis and 1.6 seconds ahead of Cleveland, the top Pro 2 rider. Meanwhile, Cole Whitmer (GG) stood tall in Pro‑Am competition, claiming top honors in the class with an impressive fifth‑place finish in the test.
Davis turned up the heat, winning the final three tests, including a commanding 9.3‑second advantage over Cleveland in the closing cross test. At the end of the day, Davis secured Saturday’s victory by a convincing 31.1 seconds over Cleveland, while Strang delivered a solid ride to claim third.
Jones and DeLong completed a competitive and tightly contested top five. Cleveland also topped the Pro 2 division, while Sievenpiper was the top Pro‑Am rider in sixth overall.

Day 2
After navigating soggy conditions on Saturday, Davis returned on Sunday with the same intensity and control, seamlessly carrying his momentum into day two. He established the early benchmark by winning the still‑damp opening cross test, finishing seven seconds ahead of Pro 2 leader Cleveland, with Jones—second in Pro 2—another 11 seconds back.
Davis put his control on full display in the slippery enduro test, charging to a six‑second win over Jones before stamping his authority on the day with a third win and stretching his advantage over Cleveland to more than 30 seconds.
Cleveland answered back in style during test four, the enduro test, charging to his first win of the weekend. Davis stormed to another win in test five, the cross test, before backing things down with a calculated third in the final enduro test as Jones grabbed his first test win of the weekend ahead of Cleveland.
When the scores were settled, Davis stood atop Sunday’s results, sealing the victory ahead of Cleveland (Pro 2 winner), Jones, DeLong, and Josh Strang.
At the end of the weekend, Davis stood tall at the top of the two‑day standings, securing a convincing victory ahead of Cleveland and Jones. Veteran Strang and DeLong completed a hard‑fought top five, while Shields powered his way to sixth overall. Will Sievenpiper, Cole Whitmer (GG), Brody Johnson (Hsq), and James Jenkins (Tri) rounded out the top ten after two demanding days.
“I’m pumped for the weekend, and I wish I could ride like this at every sprint race,” said Davis. “It was super slick out there, but I had a lot of fun. Hopefully, I can keep this up. Props to the US Sprint Enduro Series and their crew for all the hard work turning a tough situation into a very enjoyable one. They worked all Saturday night to prepare a great and fun course for Sunday and I enjoyed it.”

Pro 2 winner Cleveland challenging for the overall
Toby Cleveland left Maidsville with plenty to be proud of, capturing an enduro test win, second‑overall honors, and the Pro 2 class victory.
“The rain in the last test on Saturday was pretty gnarly,” Cleveland admitted. “Cooper and I were really close in the enduro test, but I was able to make up time in the cross test. My best test was when I smoked Grant in the enduro test today by about a second, so I’m pleased with the weekend.”
Jones capped off a strong weekend as the second Pro 2 finisher and third overall, despite a costly mistake late in the race.
“I had good speed in the woods, but I crashed pretty hard in the final cross test on Saturday and gave up a lot of time,” Jones said. “It was basically like ice out there, but it was still a solid weekend.”
Old guy Strang’s still got it in the tests
Josh Strang finished second in the Pro 1 class and fourth overall, gaining momentum as the weekend progressed.
“Honestly, the rain made things tough for me,” said Strang. “I’m still finding my rhythm and was off the pace this weekend, but I really like this format and the layout was awesome.”
Cleveland, Jones, and Johnson locked out the top three spots in the Pro 2 division, while Shields took a commanding Pro‑Am victory over Sievenpiper and Whitmer, capping off a standout performance.

Richards and McDonald toe‑to‑toe in Women’s Pro
FMF KTM’s Brandy Richards and AmPro Yamaha’s Danielle McDonald went toe‑to‑toe in a thrilling Women’s Pro showdown that stayed razor‑close from the opening test. After day one, the pair were separated by 13 seconds, with Richards narrowly holding the upper hand and both inside the top 20 overall.
Day two saw Richards shift into full control mode, backing up her early advantage to claim the overall win. McDonald matched her intensity all weekend to secure second on each day, although a test one error on day two cost her heavily. Fellow Yamaha rider Lillie Sheets delivered a strong ride to lock down the final podium position in third overall.
“It was challenging—I think the track changed every time I went out,” said Richards. “It was a little unpredictable but fun. Yesterday was wet and slippery, and today was fun but tricky, so I’m happy with the 1‑1 finish.”
